Logistics Coordinator
A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow of goods within a supply chain. Their main duties include managing workflow, scheduling production times for each project, and coordinating the receiving or shipment of supplies or equipment. They also prepare, route and manage a company’s purchase orders. Logistics Coordinators work with various stakeholders, including shippers, carriers, and customers, to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and in good condition. They also use IT systems to manage stock levels, analyze budgets and process shipments.

A supply chain manager is responsible for Managing the logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products. A freight forwarder is a person who organizes goods shipments on behalf of a client from a point of origin to a destination by an agreed delivery date and for an agreed price. They work in the transport sector, but do not actually carry out the transport of goods themselves. Typical responsibilities of a freight forwarder include considering and planning the most effective route for freight, organizing the transportation of freight between intermediate destinations, tracking the movement of freight using software and satellite technology, reporting back to clients, keeping them up to date with the progress of goods, negotiating prices with carriers, booking cargo space, arranging for customs clearance and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
